Syracuse Hotels: Review & Forum
Where to stay?
There are many places to stay when visiting Syracuse New York. The first decision you need to make is what area you want to be in. If you are doing business downtown, it might be a good decision to stay at one of the downtown hotels. If not you might want to move to carrier circle where there is more of a selection as well as a better bargain on price
In direct downtown Syracuse there are 2 immediate options.
Jefferson Clinton Hotel
Located in the heart of armory square, it is a great stay for a business or personal trip. This historic hotel has 60 suites on 11 stories which can give some absolutely breathe taking views. They offer some oversized suites as well which offer a full kitchen, high speed internet, DVD players, plasma televisions, and a state of the art exercise facility.
The Renaissance Syracuse Hotel is the only full service Marriott in the area. So if you love Marriott hotels, or you have enough reward points to sleep an entire African village; this might be the place for you. The hotel sits convenient between highway I-81 & I-90 which horribly dissects the city into four sections. With 20 floors and an on-site parking the Renaissance is by far the most convenient place to stay especially if you’re new to the city. It also is just a hop, skip, and jump from Syracuse University. So if you’re in town for a game and want a cozy get-a-way from the raging co-eds the Renaissance has what you are looking for
